Check your internet connection — a brief blip in connectivity can prevent the last part of a response from saving before you get logged out.
Log out and log back in to refresh your session.
Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.
Switch to a stable Wi-Fi connection if you're on mobile data.

What's Happening

When there's a brief connection drop on mobile, the last part of a response may not save before your session expires. Your thread rewinds to the last point it successfully saved, even though you saw the full answer on screen. The AI hasn't forgotten anything — the saved version simply fell behind what was displaying.

How Usage Works

Usage is measured in AI tokens — the amount of text the AI reads and writes. Every message you send and every response uses tokens. Longer responses use more tokens than short ones.

What Has a Limit

Content tab — counted toward your daily and monthly allowance
Coaching tab — counted toward your daily and monthly allowance

What Is Completely Unlimited

Blueprint tab — always unlimited
Brand Interview — always unlimited
Brand Vault uploads and document extraction — always unlimited
Design Dashboard tooltips — always unlimited
Memory summaries and background tasks — always unlimited

Lite Plan Daily Allowance

The Lite plan includes a generous daily token allowance that resets at midnight UTC. The usage meter in your portal sidebar shows your current usage. Short messages use barely any allowance — big content generation requests use more. Most members never hit the limit in a normal session.

Unlimited Plan

The Unlimited plan has no daily cap. Create as much as you want, back to back — full content calendars, email sequences, coaching sessions, all in the same day.

If You Hit Your Limit

Your typed message is automatically saved in the input box so you don't lose it. Your Blueprint, Brand Vault, and Design Dashboard remain fully accessible. Your allowance resets at midnight UTC.

Managing Your Empire by Design Subscription

Your Existing Subscription Is Honored

Whatever subscription tier you signed up for is the tier you keep. Existing members are not automatically moved to a new plan or pricing structure. Your existing subscription, access, token arrangement, billing interval, and eligible upgrade path remain in place while your subscription stays active.

Your Account & Billing area will reflect the subscription currently attached to your account.
You do not need to change anything if you are happy with your current subscription.

Important: The plans and pricing you may see referenced elsewhere do not automatically change the subscription you originally signed up for.

How to View Your Current Subscription

To check your current subscription:

Open Empire by Design™
Tap Account in the top-right of the portal or in the sidebar menu.
Open Account & Billing.
Your current subscription and available options will be displayed there.

Your portal is the best place to confirm the access and subscription currently associated with your account.

Understanding Your Token Allowance

Tokens measure conversation and processing capacity inside Empire by Design™. They are not the same thing as a message count. A short request and response may use fewer tokens, while a longer conversation, large document, detailed strategy session, or extensive content request may use more.

HOW DOES THE DAILY USAGE / TOKEN SYSTEM WORK?

What are tokens?

Tokens are the unit of measurement for AI processing — think of them like words. Roughly 1 token = ¾ of a word. So 1,000 tokens is about 750 words.

Why does each message use more tokens as the conversation gets longer?

Empire by Design is a full-context AI platform. Every time you send a message, the AI reads back through your entire conversation history so it never forgets what you've told it — your brand, your tone, your goals, everything. This is what makes it so much more powerful than a basic chatbot. This means:

Message 1 in a chat might use ~500 tokens
Message 10 might use ~3,000 tokens
Message 20 might use ~5,000-7,000 tokens The conversation context grows with every exchange. This is how all advanced AI platforms work (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) — the full history is needed so the AI stays smart and remembers you.

What Is the Brand Vault?

The Brand Vault is your portal's long-term memory. It stores your brand profile (21 fields), uploaded documents, and reference files. Every content and coaching session draws from this automatically.

Brand Profile vs Uploaded Documents — What's the Difference?

Think of it in two layers:

Brand Profile — the 21 core fields (mission, voice, offers, dream client etc). This is how Empire gets to know you, your audience, your brand and your voice. Fill these in through the Brand Interview or by uploading a brand doc (if you have something similar or have previously done this via Client Magnet Content).
Uploaded Documents — full documents like sales pages, testimonials, offer decks. These are your contextual memory. They're referenced when relevant but don't live in the brand profile fields.

So what is Core & Context??

Core brand docs = “this is true about my business.”

Use Core for docs you want Empire to treat as authority:

- your master brand strategy - offer suite and pricing - ideal client / niche positioning - voice rules - core frameworks - sales messaging you want remembered - business model, values, promise, proof, methodology

If something in memory or an old chat conflicts with a Core doc, the Core doc should win.

Context brand docs = “use this when it’s relevant.”

Use Context for supporting material:
