Memory, Sessions, and Getting the Best Results
How Empire by Design Memory Works
Empire by Design has three layers of memory:
• Brand Profile — your 21 core brand fields, always loaded
• Brand Vault Documents — uploaded docs, always referenced
• Coaching Memory — automatically generated summaries of your coaching conversations, building over time
Starting New Sessions
For best results, start a new session for each new topic rather than continuing one very long chat. A new content session, a new coaching session — keep them focused so you don't lose chats or forget where they are.
Your brand memory carries across regardless.
The portal will give you a gentle warning when a chat is getting long (something that Chat GPT doesn't, but cuts your memory in stealth). This isn't a lockout or anything dire, it's a nudge to start fresh so you keep the best possible context. If you need to keep the chat going, that's fine, it will always get the context of your chat, but be aware you might want to save anything specific, such as phrasing, hooks or a particular piece of content - then Save or Star the output or save the whole chat as a PDF (found under the new coaching & content sessions in the sidebar)
Referencing Other Conversations
Memory carries across the tabs, so all you have to do is ask it as you would a human - "Can we create content about XYZ that we talked about in this XYZ coaching chat". Or something similar. It will automatically reference your previous conversations. Remember to give Empire context so that it can find what you're looking for.
Saved Outputs - Starring Content
Click the ⭐ button on any response to save it to your Saved Outputs. Saved items live in the database permanently and they're there to save important outputs such as hooks, discussions that you don't want to forget for later etc. These DO NOT open like a chat, but you can you click on them anytime you need them to copy them into another chat.
Exporting Chats
You can export any chat as a PDF using the export button at the top of the portal. Great for saving your blueprint or a really valuable coaching session.
Accessing your Brand Interview Questions
This is easy - you can either go back to the chat where you "locked in" your Brand Interviews and see what is written there (or Save the whole chat somewhere safe on your drive) OR you can ask it in a coaching or content tab - "Can you tell me what I answered for XYZ verbatim" and it will parrot back exactly what's inside the area you enquired about.
Using Your Mic
The **🎤 button in the input area lets you speak your messages. Especially useful during the Brand Interview — speaking naturally often produces better brand voice data than typing.
Choosing your Language
To speak in your native tongue is easy. Just choose from English, Dutch, French, German, Polish, Portugese, Italian and Spanish. Just choose from the dropdown in the sidebar on Desktop or in My Design tab on mobile.
