Lost Chats
If your chats have disappeared, don't panic — your data is saved in multiple places and can usually be recovered.
Try These Steps First (In Order):
Step 1: Refresh the page
- Close and reopen Empire by Design, or refresh your browser. Chats sync automatically on login — a simple reload often brings everything back.
Step 2: Check you're logged into the correct account
- Your chats are linked to your email address. If you have multiple accounts or signed in with a different email, your chats will appear under the original account.
Step 3: Check your internet connection
- Empire by Design syncs chats between your device and the cloud. If you were offline when creating chats, they may be stored locally but haven't synced yet. Reconnect to the internet and refresh.
Step 4: Try a different browser or device
- If your chats were created on another device or browser, log in there. Your cloud-saved chats will sync across devices — but each device also keeps a local cache, so some very recent chats may only exist on the device where they were created.
Step 5: Clear your cache and re-login
- Add ?reset=1 to the end of the URL (e.g., app.empirebydesign.ai?reset=1) and press Enter
- This clears the local cache and forces a fresh sync from the cloud
- Log back in — your cloud-saved chats will reload
Why Chats Can Disappear:
- Browser cleared its cache — if you clear browsing data or use private/incognito mode, locally cached chats are removed. Cloud-saved chats will reload on your next login.
- Switching devices — chats created on one device sync to the cloud, but there can be a brief delay. Always let a session finish before switching devices.
- Multiple tabs or devices at once — using Empire by Design on two devices simultaneously can cause sync conflicts. Best to use one device at a time and close the portal on one before opening another.
What's Always Preserved (Even If Chats Disappear):
- Your Brand Profile (brand voice, dream client, offers, etc.)
- Your Blueprint
- Your Memory (the AI's evolving understanding of your business)
- Your uploaded brand documents
- Your birth data and chart
These are stored independently from your chat history and are never lost.

Contact support at support@empirebydesign.ai with the email address you use to log in. We can check your cloud storage to confirm what's saved and how to proceed.

When you select your language in Empire by Design, the AI will:
- Write all content (hooks, captions, emails, strategies) in your chosen language
- Coach you and respond to conversations in your language
- Apply Karla Maree's Client Magnet Content frameworks adapted to your language
- Keep your Brand Profile values in your language while maintaining system compatibility
How to Set Your Language
- When you first set up your account, you'll choose your language on the onboarding screen
- To change it later, tap "Change Language" on the Welcome Back screen or in your sidebar — the language option is on the same setup screen
