How to Update or Downgrade Your Subscription 


This doesn’t apply to Founders subscription. If you are on Founders, please contact support@empirebydesign.ai


Accessing your subscription settings:

  1. Open Empire by Design
  2. Tap the Account button (top-right of the portal, or in the sidebar menu)
  3. This opens the Account & Billing screen

Your current plan is shown at the top with a coloured badge (Lite, Unlimited, or Founding Member).


Upgrading Your Plan


From Lite Monthly ($29/mo) — you'll see three upgrade options:

  • Lite Yearly — $310/yr (save $38/yr)
  • Unlimited Monthly — $49/mo
  • Unlimited Yearly — $520/yr (save $68/yr)


From Lite Yearly ($310/yr):

  • Unlimited Yearly — $520/yr


From Unlimited Monthly ($49/mo):

  • Unlimited Yearly — $520/yr


Tap the plan you'd like and you'll be taken to the Stripe billing portal. Any remaining time on your current plan is prorated — you'll only pay the difference.


Downgrading Your Plan


From Unlimited Monthly ($49/mo):

  • Downgrade to Lite Monthly ($29/mo) or Lite Yearly ($310/yr)

From Unlimited Yearly ($520/yr):

  • Downgrade to Lite Yearly ($310/yr)


When you downgrade, your Unlimited access continues until the end of your current billing period. After that, you'll move to the Lite plan with daily usage limits.

What you keep when downgrading: Your Brand Profile, Memory, uploaded documents, and all saved chats are preserved. Nothing is deleted.


Cancelling Your Subscription


  • Lite and Unlimited users: On the Account & Billing screen, tap "Manage your subscription" at the bottom. This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can cancel.
  • Founding Members: Email support@karlamaree.co to cancel your Founders subscription.


Data After Cancellation


Your data is not immediately deleted when you cancel. If you resubscribe, your brand profile, vault, and coaching memory will all still be there. For permanent data deletion, email hello@karlamaree.co.


Changing Your Billing Interval (Monthly to Yearly or Vice Versa)


Tap Manage Plan on the Account & Billing screen. This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can switch between monthly and yearly billing. Changes are prorated automatically.


Changing Payment Method


Inside the EBD app, go to Account → Manage Plan → Add Payment Method, enter your new card details, and save — your updated payment method will be used from your next billing cycle.

Founding Members


Founding members manage their billing inside the Kajabi portal. Log into Kajabi, click your avatar in the top right corner, go to Settings → Billing Info, click Update next to your current card, enter your new card details, and click Update Card to save.
