Ask Empire to read a connected source

Connected sources can be used in the **Content Studio** and **Coaching Suite**.

Use the @ button

  1. Open a Content or Coaching chat.
  2. Press the **@** button beside the message box.
  3. Choose a connected source.
  4. Finish your question and send it.

Only sources that are connected and ready to read appear in this menu.

Type the source name

You can also type the source into the message:

  • `@fathom find the last three calls where pricing was discussed`
  • `@notion find my current launch checklist`
  • `@google_drive read the latest version of my welcome sequence`

Natural wording also works, such as “check Fathom.” The **@** option is the clearest choice when a question could be misunderstood.

Ask a follow-up

You do not need to repeat the source name in every follow-up. After Empire answers from a connected source, a message such as “what about the previous three?” or “compare those calls” keeps the same source in the current conversation.

If you change topics or want a different source, name it again.

What “Connecting” means

Fathom may need a few seconds to contact the provider and collect the requested records. Empire shows **Connecting to Fathom…** above the moving dots while that is happening.

Do not send the same question again while the connection message is showing. If the provider times out, Empire will say that it could not finish the request.
