Troubleshooting: Lost or Missing Chats

If you notice that one or more of your chat histories have disappeared, don't panic — in most cases, we can help. First, it's important to understand how chat data is stored. Your conversations are saved on our servers, but your device also maintains a local cache to keep the app fast and responsive. Occasionally, an app update or a cache refresh can cause your chat history to appear missing, even though the data still exists on our end. If this happens, please reach out to our support team and we can restore your chats from our backups.

However, if you manually deleted a chat yourself, that action is permanent and we are unfortunately unable to recover it. Deletions are processed immediately and are not retained in our backup system. Before deleting any conversation, please make sure you no longer need it. If you're unsure whether your chats disappeared due to an update or were accidentally deleted, contact us anyway — we're happy to investigate and will do everything we can to get your conversations back.
